Knowledge Industry Grants for 2019. Modality B. Producte

The objective is finance projects to obtain prototypes and to make the results of the research more valuable and transferable.

The projects must correspond to the test phase of concept 3-7 of the scale of technological maturity (TRL).

They must understand: Structured activities that allow the achievement of a proof of concept (prototype, pilot, pre-industrial or pre-clinical test, among others).

They have to make it possible: Reduce the uncertainties about technical and commercial feasibility.

The research teams of universities in the Catalan university system, research centers, technology centers, hospital foundations and non-profit institutions. They must have the main research activity and headquarters in Catalonia.

The participating research teams must be responsible for the generation of knowledge or the technology that they want to value.

Research teams must be trained, at least, for two people, who must meet the following requirements:

1. a. TheThe Responsible Scientist must be in possession of a doctor's degree. He or she must be statutorily or contractually linked to the participating university or centre with a full-time dedication.
2. b. The Entrepreneurial Scientific or Entrepreneurial Scientist must be admitted in a doctoral program or in possession of the title of doctor at the time of presentation of the application. In the event that the candidate is in possession of a doctor's degree, from the obtaining of the doctorate degree they must have passed 10 years.

Business Mentor must be incorporated into the research team once the projects have been selected to form the Producte team:

• • He or she cannot belong to companies or entities in which members of the research team have any: Positions of responsibility, shareholdings, recognised advisory activities.
• • He or she can not receive any kind of remuneration for the development of this activity.

Projects must be executed within a maximum of 18 months from the day following the date of publication of the definitive award resolution.

The maximum amount of the Project grant is 100,000.00 (one hundred thousand) euros. The intensity of the grant is 100% of the project amount, 50% of which comes from the ERDF and which must be advanced from the AGAUR budget allocated to the call. The grants awarded shall be subject to the tax regulations applicable at the time of their award.
