Knowledge Industry grants for 2023. Modality C. Innovadors

Modality C. Producte: Grants for transfer and valorization projects of knowledge developed by innovators in stays in research and innovation system entities in Catalonia.

The purpose of the grants is to fund projects for hiring individuals with an entrepreneurial profile who will carry out the necessary activities for transferring technologies or knowledge generated within the public research system to the productive sector. This can be done through the creation of a spin-off or the exploitation of any form of intellectual or industrial property through licensing or co-development agreements.

Research teams from universities in the Catalan university system, research centres, technology centres, hospital foundations and non-profit foundations whose main activity is research and which are based in Catalonia (where they must carry out all or part of the research activity) may benefit from these grants.

The entrepreneur person must preferably have a minimum education level of Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

It will be valued positively:

• Knowledge in economics and finance, in the use of business management tools and in the legal and regulatory framework.
• Experience in innovation management and in technology and/or knowledge transfer to the private sector.
• Experience in programs for incubation or start-up companies acceleration and previous experience in companies or business units management.
• Creative, innovation and team leadership skills, as well as being a motivated, enthusiastic, committed person with communication skills.

Projects must be executed within a maximum of 18 months

The maximum amount of the Project grant is 84.000.00 euros, of which at least 60,000.00 euros must be allocated to the financing of personnel costs for the hiring of an innovative person.
