Persons or entities wishing to contract a personal protection service by means of a private escort must obtain specific, express and individualised authorisation.

Only private escorts belonging to security companies registered and authorised for the exercise of this activity may carry out this personal protection service.

This procedure can only be done in person if you are an individual.

Self-employed, professionals, companies, entities and other groups must process the procedure online. Documentation provided by other means will not be taken into account and will not be counted for filing date purposes.

    This procedure can only be done in person if you are an individual requesting an appointment.

    Self-employed, professionals, companies, entities and other groups must process the procedure online. idCAT Mobile or a digital certificate will not be necessary.

    Instructions for filling in the form

    1. The system will validate the data and check those that are mandatory. If errors are detected in the data entered or mandatory data are missing, the system will warn you with an error message.
    2. It is necessary to fill in and attach the mandatory annex to the Application for authorisation of private escort services. This annex must be completed if the authorisation is being requested for 1 to 4 services. The number of services is calculated according to the number of protected persons (1 escort service = 1 protected person). In case you want to request more than 4 services, you must also fill in the annex "Extension data" of the application for authorisation of private escort services. A maximum of 20 services can be requested in a single online application.
    1. At the time of submitting the application online, a link to access the "Payments" section of the application folder will also be displayed. In this section you can make the payment online or you can download the payment letter. With this payment letter you can make the payment of the fee online through the CaixaBank website or in person, always by credit or debit card, at the "Servicaixa" ATMs network or at the Business Management Offices (OGE).

    The payment tab can also be accessed at any time after the request has been made:

    • If you have a digital certificate, enter the Private area and access the "Procedures" section. There you will be able to access the procedure in question and make the payment from the "Payments" section.
    • If you do not have a digital certificate, you must go to Status of my transactions and enter the procedure code (ID) of the acknowledgement of receipt and your NIF (tax ID number). Once inside, you must go to the "Payments" section and follow the instructions.

    Processing support

     

    If you are unable to complete the procedure due to a system failure, please try again later.

    • If the incident persists more than 24 hours, you can contact the Ministry of Home Affairs through the Generic request with electronic signature. To do so, in the section "On va adreçada" (To whom is it addressed) select "Departament d'Interior" (Ministry of Home Affairs), topic "Emergències i seguretat" (Security Emergency), subtopic "Seguretat privada" (Private security).
    • If, however, the incident is also affecting the Generic Request, you can send us the communication by means of a query, complaint or suggestion (CQS) to the contact mailbox of the Home Affairs website.
    • Alternatively, if the incident persists and you cannot wait to complete the procedure, you can use the generic request form that you will find on the website or the electronic office of your city council (or any other Public Administration). In this case, remember that the calculation of deadlines may vary and that you will have to wait a few days to be able to follow up the procedure from your Private Area.

    In person

    If the application is submitted to the Directorate General of Security Administration, at the Territorial Services of Games and Shows indicated in the section "Processing points", or at any of the places authorised by Article 16.4 of Law 39 /2015, 1 October, of the common administrative procedure of public administrations, or at any post office:

    • In the days following the submission of the application, you will receive, through the communication channel you indicated in the application form, a payment letter to pay the fee electronically through the CaixaBank website or, in person, at the "Servicaixa" ATM network, by credit or debit card.
    • Until the unit responsible for processing your application has proof of payment of the corresponding fee, it will not begin processing your file. If you do not pay the fee within the established period, you will be considered to have withdrawn.

    If the application is submitted at any of the Business Management Offices (OGE - Oficines de Gestió Empresarial) indicated in the "Processing points" section, the same office will give you a payment letter to pay the fee, which you can do directly at the same office by credit or debit card or at any CaixaBank branch.

    The application can be submitted and the fee paid at any of the business management offices (OGE) listed above.

    It can be submitted in any of the places and by the means authorised by article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the common administrative procedure of public administrations.

    If you choose to submit the application at a post office, it must be in an open envelope so that the application can be dated and stamped by the post office official before being certified.

    Receiving the Administration's response

    The Directorate General of Security Administration may require the interested party to expand or complete the information presented in the application.

    The Director General of Security Administration must resolve the procedure and authorise or deny the personal protection service.

    The resolution granting or denying the authorisation will be notified electronically to the person concerned and the security company.

    How will you receive the response?

    Self-employed, professionals, companies and other groups will receive an electronic notification. You can access your content through the e-NOTUM service.

    If you are a private individual, you may choose to receive the response to this request electronically through e-NOTUM or via postal delivery. Please note that electronic delivery is checked by default. If you wish to receive the response at your mailing address, you must uncheck this box on the form.
