What do you need to know?
Professionals who have an official professional training qualification in the healthcare field, obtained in Catalonia and who wish to practice in the European Union (or included within the European Economic Area), must request the accreditation of these qualifications from the General Directorate of Health Professionals, of the Department of Health.
Professionals who have an official professional training qualification in the healthcare field, obtained in countries of the European Union (or countries included in the European Economic Area), must request the recognition of these qualifications in order to practice in Catalonia, before the General Directorate of Health Professionals, of the Department of Health.
You can only do this procedure online. Documentation you provide through another channel will not be taken into account or counted for the purposes of the submission date.
Specific forms have been created for the applications and/or communications of this procedure, and their use is mandatory. You can download them from this same page and you must always download the latest published version. If you submit the application and/or communication using other forms, these will be considered not submitted.
Authority responsible
- To professionals with official professional training qualifications in the healthcare field obtained in Catalonia who wish to practice in the European Union (or included within the European Economic Area).
- To professionals with official professional training qualifications in the healthcare field obtained in European Union countries (or countries included in the European Economic Area), to be able to practice in Catalonia.
These professionals/associates/natural persons who carry out economic, professional activity, individual or self-employed entrepreneurs are obliged to interact through electronic means with the Public Administrations to carry out any formality of an administrative procedure according to article 14.2 of Law 39/2015, of October 1 (BOE no. 236, of October 2, 2015) and ORDER PDA/20/2019, of February 14 (DOGC no. 7814, of February 20).
The request for the issuance of a duplicate certificate can be made at any time after the issuance of the original certificate.
No documentation is required to request the issuance of one or more duplicates of the original certificate.
There are no fees associated with this procedure.

You can only do this procedure online.
You must identify yourself when you send the form with the idCAT Mòbil or a digital certificate if you are the owner, or with a digital representation certificate if you are the representative.

The form is filled out online, without having to download it.
- Fill out the form and attach the documentation indicated. To add the attached documentation, click on the Attach button and search for the corresponding document on your computer.
- The attachment name cannot contain spaces, hyphens, accents, or umlauts.
- Submit the form. If you are missing mandatory data or if any data is incorrect, you will see an error message when submitting and the fields you need to review will be highlighted.
- The form requires a signature with a digital certificate of representation or legal entity. You can consult the page How to digitally sign an HTML form .

Confirm the transaction carried out
If the application has been sent correctly, the acknowledgement of receipt will appear on the screen (you will need Adobe Acrobat to open it). It is important that you save it, as this document contains the entry record, which is the date on which this procedure was initiated and may be important in certain calculations and deadlines. A procedure identifier code will also appear, which will help you to know the status of the procedure from the Private Area .
If the request contains any errors, the submission is not made and a message appears specifying the error.

You can check if there has been any service outage or incident in the Notices and service outages section of the electronic office, where all the information about the types of incident and where they have occurred is available. Search for the service incidents for the corresponding year and sort them by the Start date and time field, in descending order.

Status of my procedures
- Access the Status of my transactions.
- Enter the transaction identifier code (ID), which is an alphanumeric code obtained with the acknowledgement of receipt of the transaction, and the identification number (DNI, NIE, passport, company tax number or foreign company document) that was entered on the application form. With this identifier code you will be able to check the status of your transactions without a digital certificate.
From the details of the procedure or management you will obtain information on the status they are in.

To access the Private Area, you must identify yourself using a digital certificate or one-time password.
