What do you need to know?
The yacht master's license allows the holder to pilot recreational motorised and sailing vessels of up to 20 metres with a motor of suitable power. It also authorises the user to pilot vessels in the space between the coast and up to 60 sea miles offshore.
People who have passed the theoretical part in Catalonia and have done internships in academies approved by the Generalitat de Catalunya can apply for the issuance and renewal of a degree online.
In all other cases, the procedure must be done in person.
Immediate issuance and renewal service: documentation can be submitted to certain offices (see Step 1 - In person) to issue and renew the degree and obtain it on the spot.

The deadline for applying for the license is 18 months starting from the day on which the last section of the theoretical exam is passed.
- Copia del DNI / NIF / NIE, de la tarjeta de residencia o del pasaporte (vigentes) Ver nota 1.
- Acreditación de la aptitud psicofísica para el manejo de embarcaciones de recreo realizado en Centros de Reconocimiento de Conductores (CRC) establecido en el Real Decreto 875/2014, por el que se regulan las titulaciones náuticas para el gobierno de embarcaciones de recreo, o en sustitución de la acreditación fotocopia compulsada de los reconocimientos médicos para el embarque del ISM o los expedidos por los médicos militares en los que se acredite la aptitud para navegar del militar solicitante.
No es necesario si ha pasado menos de 2 años desde la fecha de expedición del anterior certificado. En caso de que se acredite que no ha pasado más de dos años desde la obtención del permiso de conducir vehículos terrestres a motor, presentar copia del citado permiso a mas de una revisión ocular a los efectos de diferenciar los colores, especialmente el verde y el rojo, realizada en un CRC.
El certificado médico debe aportarse en formato digital a través de la aplicación. En el caso de que hayan aprobado en Cataluña y/o hecho las prácticas en academias homologadas. En los trámites presenciales se presentará el documento original y en la oficina donde realice el trámite lo escanearán y lo cargarán a la aplicación. La persona que realiza el trámite debe conservar el certificado médico durante dos años. - Resguardo del ingreso de la tasa (código de barras para efectuar el pago a "la Caixa", en el momento de efectuar el pago se informará el DNI del/de la solicitante. Nombre del entidad: Escuela de Capacitación Nauticopesquera, Concepto: Títulos náutica recreo, Código de entidad asignado: 0417125). Si la presentación es presencial.
Si la presentación es por internet, el pago se efectúa a través de la aplicación mediante tarjeta de crédito.
En caso de haber realizado las prácticas en una Escuela Náutica autorizada por la Generalidad de Cataluña
- No es necesario presentar otra documentación complementaria, dado que el DARP ya dispone de esta información
En caso de haber realizado las prácticas en una Escuela Náutica de otra Comunidad Autónoma
- En caso de haber realizado las prácticas en otra Comunidad Autónoma, certificado original de la realización de las prácticas con el visto bueno de la Administración correspondiente, de acuerdo con lo establecido en el Real Decreto 875/2014, de 10 de octubre , por lo que se regulan las titulaciones náuticas para el gobierno de las embarcaciones de recreo.
En caso de estar en posesión de títulos de náutica profesional y / o académico (convalidación)
- Copia compulsada del título profesional
- Copia compulsada del título académico
- Certificación de días de navegación o acreditación períodos embarque.
En caso de disponer de una titulación expedida en otra Comunidad Autónoma e inferior a la Solicitada
- Copia compulsada de la titulación expedida (PEE para PI y PI para CI)
Para cualquier otro supuesto
- Abra el buzón de consultas i exponga de forma breve el motivo de su consulta.
NOTA 1. Únicamente será necesario aportar esta documentación en caso de no autorizar al Departamento de Agricultura, Ganadería, Pesca y Alimentación para obtenerla. Si ya se ha presentado previamente esta documentación al Departamento y sigue vigente, no es necesario volver a presentar. Indicar únicamente en los casos que inicie el procedimiento administrativo en una oficina del DARP diferente a la que se presentó la documentación: el procedimiento, año y lugar (OC, ST o SC) donde se presentó.
