What do you need to know?
The title of Personal Water Craft Skipper B allows the use of personal water craft with engines between 55 CV and 110 CV.
According to the first final provision of Royal decree 339/2021, of May 18, regulating the safety and pollution prevention equipment of recreational vessels (BOE No. 119 of May 19, 2021):
"The nautical titles A, B and C water craft skipper issued before July 1, 2019 remain valid and may be renewed."
Anyone who meets the requirements.
- The deadline for renewing the title of Personal Water Craft Skipper B is its expiry date (after ten years).
- In the case of people aged over 70 years old, the title must be renewed every two years.
- Where the title is being renewed because it has expired:
- Colour passport photograph with the applicant's Tax Identification Number (NIF) written on the reverse. It must be submitted in an envelope.
- Photocopy of the applicant's current National Identity Document (DNI), residence permit or passport.
- Official medical documentation certifying that the interested party meets the necessary physical conditions that are outlined in Resolution of 5 January 2009 of the Directorate General of the Merchant Navy. Instead of medical documentation it is possible to submit a certified photocopy of evidence that the applicant is in the correct physical condition for sailing: the documentation relating to the medical examination of the Social Institute of the Merchant Navy (ISM) or of those performed by military doctors.
- Certified photocopy of the title documentation of the relevant type that is to be renewed (only where such documentation was issued outside Catalonia).
- Proof of payment of the renewal fee.
- Where the title is being renewed because it has been lost or stolen:
- Colour passport photograph with the applicant's Tax Identification Number (NIF) written on the reverse. It must be submitted in an envelope.
- Photocopy of the applicant's current National Identity Document (DNI), residence permit or passport.

What response will be received?
When the issue of the title documentation is requested – at any of the offices where it is possible to submit applications – the Administration issues a provisional receipt which is valid for six months. The original of the title documentation is sent by ordinary mail to the residence given on the interested party's application form.
