What do you need to know?
A report of theft inside a vehicle can be submitted by Internet if the victim cannot provide details on the offender/s and has not been the victim of physical violence. In cases of theft inside a vehicle, the vehicle may present damage to the door, handle or a broken window, or other damage that has occurred during the break-in.
Authority responsible
Any citizen who fulfils the requirements for processing this type of report.
Once the procedure on Internet has been completed, you have 72 hours to validate the report at the corresponding police station.
These can be requested at any time.
- This system of reporting cannot be used for incidents in which physical violence has been used.
- This system cannot be used to report an incident if the victim has seen the offenders or is in a position to identify them.
- This procedure is only valid for submitting reports to the Mossos d'Esquadra or Local Police (List of Police Stations).
