What do you need to know?
The Food & Farming Laboratory is a resource used by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food to inspect, monitor and check food and farming produce, pursuant to prevailing Catalan, Spanish and EU legislation.
The most commonly used analyses are those provided for in food law for each product type, those required for feed quality analyses and those related to participation in specific monitoring and control plans.

The fees payable depend on the type of analysis and the laboratory they are sent to. See Regulation.
The Food & Farming Laboratory mainly works for the Ministry of Agriculture, Licestock, Fisheries and Food and other ministries of the Government of Catalonia. It also works with other regional and state-wide public bodies, and provides services to private individuals and companies involved in administrative formalities.
