What do you need to know?
Public or private entities wishing to operate as training entities for the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) by non-medical staff and/or as a training entity for instructors must apply for authorisation from the Ministry of Health before starting the activity.
The authorisation entails the ex officio registration of these entities on the Training register for the use of defibrillators by non-medical staff assigned to the Ministry of Health.
Authorised entities must notify the Ministry of any changes in the authorisation data or the cessation of the training activity, as well as the list of students who have passed the courses.
This procedure can only be carried out online. Documentation submitted through other channels will not be taken into account and will not be counted for the purposes of the date of submission.
Specific forms have been set up for the communication of this procedure, and they must be used. You can download them from this sheet. Make sure you always download the latest published version. If you submit your application or communication using other forms, they will be considered as not having been submitted.
Authority responsible
For any organisation, public or private, wishing to provide or providing training in the use of defibrillators by non-medical staff and/or the training of instructors.
The notification must be submitted within one month of the change being made.

- Details of the training staff who are leaving or joining (the established model must be used).
- Copy of the qualifications of the instructor who has been registered
In the event of any changes made to the certificate issued to the students:
- Model of the new certificate
The presentation of a communication and a responsible declaration implies that the owner or representative of the entity declares that they fulfil the requirements for carrying out the activity established in the current regulations, that they undertake to comply with them during the duration of the activity and that they have the corresponding accrediting documentation.
There are no fees associated with this procedure.
The training organisation must communicate any essential changes to the data entered on the Training register for the use of defibrillators by non-medical staff.

- A change of name of the centre
- A change of address of the centre
- Modification of the model certificate issued to students
- Changes in the number of training staff (new/leavers)
In order to change the ownership of the entity or the type of training provided, a new authorisation is required.

Enter the transaction identifier code (ID), which is an alphanumeric code obtained with the acknowledgement of receipt of the transaction, and the identification number (DNI, NIE, passport, company NIF or foreign company document) that was entered on the application form. With this identifier code you will be able to check your status without a digital certificate.
