What do you need to know?
It enables the inscription at the Registry of Agricultural and Food Industries of Catalonia (RIAAC) of the industrial establishments located in Catalonia that carry out any of the activities related to agriculture, food, forests and fishery, thereby having a permanent and updated access to all the information.
The certificate of inscription will have a validity of five years. After this period, if no substantial modifications have taken place, the inscription will be automatically renewed.
This procedure can only be done online. Documentation you provide through another channel will not be considered or computed for filing date purposes.
Inscription to the Registry should be mandatory for the industrial establishments located in Catalonia involved in any of the activities detailed in the following list:
- Meat industries
- Fish elaboration and conservation and of fish-based products
- Preparation and conservation of fruits and vegetables
- Manufacturing of fruit and vegetable juices
- Manufacturing of fats and oils
- Milk industries
- Manufacturing of milling products, starches and starch-related products
- Manufacturing of products for animal feeding
- Manufacturing of other food products
- Elaboration of drinks
- Forest industries
- Other farming industries
Applications can be submitted at any time.

Variation of the main economic activity (expansion or reduction) and Transfer of the establishment.
Documentation:
- Anexo a la solicitud y declaración responsable de inscripción de una actividad agraria y/o alimentaria en el RIAAC, filled in and attached.
Optionally:
Type B industries, those that increase the installed power more than 20 Kw, or whoise installed machinery and facilities increase their value more than € 150,000, or increase the number of workers more than 10 people:
- Agri-food technical project written and signed by a competent technician (*)
- Certificate of direction and completion of work written and signed by a competent technician (*)
(*) (agronomist, industrial engineer or agricultural technical engineer, in the specialty of agricultural industries)
Type B industries, those industries that do not exceed the above conditions:
- Technical-descriptive report of the activity carried out by the establishment.

Subsequently, the documentation is sent to the Industries and Conmercialisation Section of the territorial services of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food. They will be responsible for all subsequent checking and monitoring/technical control.Answer
