People who apply to adopt a child in Catalonia or from another country have to go through a training and evaluation process.
This training and evaluation process consists of information and training sessions and at least two interviews. At least one of these interviews is conducted by a social workers and another is conducted by a psychologist. Besides the interviews with professionals, an interview is also conducted at the candidates’ home.
A psychosocial report is then drawn up based on these sessions, interviews and evaluation.
