If you suspect that you were fined while driving, for example, because you saw the flash of a radar while driving, you have two options: wait to receive the notification or check yourself.
The Administration must notify you of the fine at your address within a maximum period of 3 months for minor offences and 6 months for serious or very serious offences.
If, for any reason, within this period you do not receive the notification, you have 3 ways to make an enquiry:
- In the Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya (DOGC), in the Official State Gazette (BOE) and in the provincial bulletins of Catalonia (BOP). You need to search for your DNI (National Identification Number).
- If you have a digital certificate, access the file search. If you have a fine, it will appear pending.
- Subscribe to the notifications of the DEV (Electronic Road Directorate).
Here's how to make an enquiry in each of the three options.
