Official confirmation for victims of human trafficking or sexual exploitation.
This official confirmation has effects for official agencies and labour courts and tribunals and is valid throughout the Catalan territory and the rest of Spain. With this official confirmation you can exercise your rights, access services and claim benefits to which victims of trafficking and/or sexual exploitation are entitled.
You can only carry out this procedure online. You must identify yourself with the idCATMòbil or with the digital certificate of a natural person or representative.The documentation you provide through another channel will not be taken into account nor will it be valid for the purpose of the submission date.
If you need official confirmation for different rights, you will have to make a request for each case.
If you have already been issued with official confirmation before, you do not need to send any attachments, unless your situation has changed significantly.
If you do not have a regular official situation:
- You can only request official confirmation as a victim of sexual exploitation to register in the municipal register of residents or access social services.
- If you want, you can give your consent to provide your personal data to the authorities in charge of the formal identification of victims of human trafficking, in accordance with the provisions of article 59 bis of Organic Law 4/2000 , of 11 January, on the rights and freedoms of foreign nationals in Spain and their social integration:

- National Police
- Other Government offices (in accordance with the provisions of article 47.3 of Royal Decree Law 6/2022, of 29 March).
Authority responsible
To people who have been subjected to:
- People trafficking: includes recruiting, transporting, transferring, harbouring or receiving people using threats, force, coercion, kidnapping, fraud, deception, abuse of authority or vulnerability.
It also includes offering or accepting payments or benefits to exploit another person.
Exploitation includes forced prostitution, other forms of sexual exploitation, forced labour or services, slavery or similar practices, servitude or removal of organs.
This category includes:
- Victims of trafficking for all purposes related to sexual exploitation.
- People who have survived human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation in the past and who are currently in contexts of prostitution.
- Sexual exploitation: victims of exploitation related to prostitution, sexual servitude or other types of sexual services, including pornographic acts or the production of pornographic material. They are victims of situations that do not meet all the elements of human trafficking, but that present some indication of exploitation by third parties.
- At-risk situation: conditions of vulnerability and/or rights violations that increase the risk of sexual exploitation and human trafficking for women in contexts of prostitution. The indicators in Annex II and this Resolution define the risk situations.
This procedure can be applied for at any time.
If you are not formally identified by the police authorities as a victim of trafficking or sexual exploitation, addressed to the specialised entities or bodies that issue official confirmation in Catalonia so that they fill out the requisite annexes and attach them to your application. For this reason, it will be important that you provide them with the Case Code (ID) that will be sent to you when your application is complete, so that they can attach your annexes.
Be in a regular official situation, which is to say that you have all the legal documents necessary to live, work or study in a country. It includes having a residence permit, a work permit, being an asylum seeker or having recognised refugee status or any other official document that the Government requires.
