The digital certificate employed by the user and the information it contains determine the type of accreditation profile.
The type of digital certificate employed by the user and the information it contains establishes an accreditation profile that determines the degree of representation of the person identifying himself and acting vis-à-vis third parties and/or himself.
- Individual certificate: this accredits the identity of the holder, who will always be a natural person.
- Certificate of a person belonging to a company: this accredits the identity of the natural person who holds the certificate, as well as his connection with a specific organisation by virtue of the position he holds within it. This certificate does not in itself grant greater powers to the holder beyond those he already has due to his pursuit of his usual activity.
This can be applied for by the employee so long as it is authorised by a representative of the organisation or the company itself for its employees.
- Representative’s certificate: this is issued to a legal person who is the representative of a specific organisation. The certificate identifies the holder not just as a natural person belonging to a company but also adds his status as an administrator of that company.
- Legal person’s certificate: this identifies a company or corporation as such when carrying out transactions vis-à-vis the authorities or institutions.
