Any kind of information can be requested that the Administration has prepared or has in its possession as a consequence of the exercise of its functions.
The Administration may deny an application for information if it requests notes, drafts, summaries, opinions or any internal working document without relevance or public interest. It will also reject an application for a type of information that requires complex processing or reprocessing involving a significant burden of work for the Administration. In these cases, any applicant who has received such denial may make a complaint to the Commission Guaranteeing the Right of Access to Public Information (GAIP).
Bear in mind that if the information being requested is undergoing processing to be made public on the Transparency Portal, the people requesting this information will be informed that they will be able to see it on the Transparency website within a period of three months.
Information may be requested pertaining to the Administration of the Government of Catalonia, town, city, county and provincial councils, public sector agencies and bodies linked to any of these administrations, the Parliament of Catalonia, universities, independent administrations, chambers and professional associations.
