AGROTECH-UPC brings together the technological capabilities of several multidisciplinary research groups at the UPC to meet the main challenges of the agri-food sector.
The centre has expertise in:
- precision agriculture, plant production and biotechnology, including the development of sensors, IoT systems, remote sensing and advanced machinery.
- food technology, with transformation and conservation processes to improve food safety and quality.
- environmental economics and sustainability, with solutions in water regeneration, integration of renewable energies, and finding valuable uses for by-products.
- digitalization and artificial intelligence, with data platforms, predictive models and decision-making tools.
