Capacitats tecnològiques
The CTTC's research activities are divided into two main lines.
The first focuses on the mathematical formulation, numerical resolution and experimental validation of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and mass transfer phenomena, such as turbulence, combustion, two-phase flow, radiation, fluid and heat dynamics, numerical algorithms, high-performance computing and noise evaluation. The CTTC develops or uses simulation codes to solve thermal engineering and fluid dynamics problems.
The second line applies this knowledge to the design and optimization of thermal systems, such as refrigeration, HVAC, solar systems, wind energy, heat exchangers and engine cooling.
