
The Computer Vision Center (CVC) is a CERCA research center, with more than 130 researchers and technicians, specializing in Computer Vision and is an international leader in its field. With 12 research groups, its mission is to train new talents, generate knowledge and transfer it to industry and society. The CVC has an international reputation for its innovative research, technology transfer and the development of spin-offs in the field of Computer Vision. Its mission is to conduct prestigious research with a major international impact, transfer knowledge to companies and society and train high-level scientists and professionals to be relevant in Europe.

The CVC conducts pioneering research in computer vision, especially in the following key areas:

The CVC is committed to transferring its knowledge and experience to society, working with industrial partners in RDI and collaboration, offering innovative Artificial Vision solutions to the industry through Feasibility Studies, Development of Concept Tests, Systems Certification and Technical Consulting.
In addition, a prominent group of CVC researchers collaborates on the Master's Degree in Computer Vision program (UAB, UPC, UOC, UPF) and trains students in the Artificial Intelligence degree program, offered by the Autonomous University of Barcelona. The CVC has an annual program of seminars and other introductory courses and promotion of Computer Vision skills in companies.

The CVC has a laboratory with different types of cameras and lighting systems, to carry out experiments and tests related to the center's activity.
