Technological capabilities
DIOPMA works with the following lines of research:
- Materials for energy: thermal energy storage, the development of superconductors, fuel cells and thermoelectric materials.
- Environment. Recovery of by-products, the environment and the circular economy: In this area, the group focuses on recycling technologies and the valorization of by-products, as well as environmental protection and life cycle analysis.
- Construction materials: the development of construction materials from waste and by-products is one of the group's priorities. This line of research aims not only to reduce industrial waste but also to create more sustainable construction materials with better properties.
- 3D printing materials: DIOPMA also works on the development of new materials for 3D printing. Development of new inks and slips for ceramic materials, filaments from biodegradable materials, recovery of by-products as materials for 3D printing, and silicones for biomedical devices.
- Other: Metallurgy, mining and industrial processes.
