
The GTQ (Chemical Transducers Group) is a research group at the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM, CSIC). Its mission is to find solutions to the challenges of liquid analysis using components and systems manufactured with integrated microelectronics and photonics technology.

Technological capabilities
Development of measurement systems for (bio)chemical parameters such as pH, ions, heavy metals and other contaminants, metabolites, proteins, DNA/RNA, bacteria, etc., based on smart materials, electrochemical transducers, integrated photonics, multiparametric probes, microfluidics, lab-on-a-chip, rapid tests, manufactured with a combination of silicon technology (Micro and Nano-technologies), nanomaterials, surface functionalization, hybrid silicon-polymer integration.
Development of applications of chemical microsensors and lab-on-a-chip systems in areas as diverse as agri-food, the environment and water management, clinical diagnosis and, in general, the control of industrial processes. Both in rapid test format (discrete measurements) and compact continuous monitoring equipment
