Technological capabilities
IRIS is engaged in the research and development of functional biomaterials for regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, as well as the design of assistive devices for people with reduced mobility.
It also works on improving the recovery of human autonomy through information technologies, the study of robotic surgery and multi-robot cooperation. In addition, it develops systems for radiotherapy, nuclear medicine and the creation of serious games for training and rehabilitation.
Cardiac and respiratory variability analyses are performed, as well as characterization of DNA sequences for diagnosing pathologies.
IRIS applies advanced computational graphics and virtual reality techniques for the presentation and interaction with biomedical models and remote sensing.
