Technological capabilities
In the field of RDI services, the group has extensive experience in the development of vaccines to prevent infectious diseases, the creation of diagnostic tools to improve pathogen detection, as well as the research of disease predictive algorithms. Work is also being done on the design of tools based on artificial intelligence to facilitate work in the fields of animal research and production.
In addition, IRTA-CReSA researches the use of organoids as an alternative to animal experimentation to study animal diseases and to evaluate the efficacy of new treatments. The IRTA-CReSA biobank has an extensive collection of microorganisms of veterinary interest that is offered as a fundamental resource for health research, allowing studies that seek to better understand diseases and develop innovative therapeutic and preventive solutions. These initiatives are based on collaboration with companies and institutions to promote innovation and sustainability in the healthcare sector.
