Technological capabilities
LEPAMAP-PRODIS has first-class scientific facilities and equipment (~650 m²), spread between the Polytechnic School and the UdG Research and Innovation Park:
- Fibres and nanocellulose lab: Complete equipment to extract, modify, produce (GEA PANDA+PANTHER high-pressure homogenizer) and characterize fibres and nanocelluloses (Mütek PCD, MorFi, lyophilizer, electrospinning, Malvern Zetasizer).
- Pilot plant for processing polymers and composites: Extruders, industrial injectors, mixers/compounders (Brabender, Gelimat), presses, impregnation line, mills.
- Additive manufacturing laboratory: 3D printers (FDM, SLA), equipment for filament production/characterization. LEPAMAP-PRODIS is part of the joint UdG-Eurecat initiative (3DML).
- Advanced characterization laboratory: Thermal techniques (DSC, TGA, DMA), as well as mechanical (Instron, nanoindentation), morphological (SEM-FEG/EDX, TEM, AFM, optical), chemical (FTIR, Raman), rheological, barrier (O2, H2O), surface (Krüss contact angle), and accelerated ageing techniques. Access to STR-UdG (NMR, XRD, ICP, etc.).

Relevant equipment
High-pressure homogenizer with capacity of 120 L/h (two-stage, reaching pressures of 1000 bar) equipped with a heat exchange system. Makes it possible to process advanced sustainable materials, dispersions and advanced emulsions for different sectors: cosmetics, paint, food, cellulose, varnishes, coatings, and thickeners, among others.
