What do you need to know?
The awarding of grants in the form of securities on financing operations for companies resulting from research, for the development of proof of concept activities which will be formalised by the IFEM, co-investing with private investors, for companies resulting from the research carried out by the Catalan universities, the CERCA research centres, the technology centres, the hospital foundations, the non-profit institutions which have research as their main activity and are located in Catalonia, and the Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies (ICREA).

Innovative companies that registered in Catalonia, emerging from Catalan universities, the CERCA research centres, the technology centres, the hospital foundations, the non-profit institutions which have research as their main activity and are located in Catalonia, and ICREA.
Application period: will be from 27th February 2024 until 5th July 2027 (both inclusive)
The following documents must be attached to the general form.
- Document attached to the form.
- Entity TIN.
- Articles of Incorporation.
- Powers of the legal representative of the company.
The following documents must be submitted through "Àrea privada":
- Business plan.
- Executive summary.
- Financial model in Excel format.
- Annual accounts of the two previous years, if applicable.
- Last closing of the current year.
- Annual statement of operations (model 347).
- Declaration of intent or proof of the investment if it has been realised.
- CV of the investors.
- CV of the founders.
- Shareholder structure with the detail of the different capital increases.
- Documentary evidence of the ownership of the commercial exploitation rights of the scientific and technological knowledge.
- Description of the scientific and technological background.
- Declaration on the information relating to the SME status of the companies.
Eligible companies must meet the following requirements:
- Be privately held SMEs, according to the definition of SMEs in the European legislation.
- Having been registered for up to five years. If they are not required to register, the five-year period starts on the date of their first economic activity or the date of the registration for their economic activity tax.
- Not having distributed profits or come from a concentration operation.
- Their main aim must be to introduce new products, processes or services into the market which are based on the research and knowledge developed in the Catalan universities or the research centres of Catalonia (CERCA centres).
- Are excluded companies in difficulty as defined in article 2.18 of REGULATION (EU) No 651/2014 of the Commission and the Communication from the Commission (2014/C249/01), of 31st July 2014, and those subject to a pending rescue order issued by the European Commission having declared an aid received by this company as illegal and incompatible.
There are no taxes associated with this procedure.
