What do you need to know?
When, according to the cooperation protocol of the commercial courts, an industrial company finds itself in a situation involving insolvency, pre-insolvency or has a refinancing agreement; or in a process of generational change, reorientation of the business model or searching for a partner, it may notify the Administration.
Accordingly, the competent unit of the Government of Catalonia may put the company in touch with potential investors. Thus, the situation may be improved or reversed.
This procedure can only be completed online. Any documents sent by another channel will not be considered or computed with regard to the submission date.
Authority responsible
- Administrators of industrial companies experiencing difficulty.
- Owners of industrial companies experiencing difficulty.
- Designated official receivers, should there be any.
- Designated mediators, should there be any.
This procedure can be requested at any time.
There are no taxes associated with this procedure.

A company is considered to be experiencing difficulty when according to the cooperation protocol of the commercial courts, it is in a situation involving insolvency, pre-insolvency or has a refinancing agreement; or in a process of generational change, reorientation of the business model or searching for a partner.
How to make the notification
In accordance with the cooperation protocol of the commercial courts, and in order to preserve the productive fabric and ensure employment in industrial or production services companies, any company experiencing difficulty should notify the Subdirectorate for Industrial Investment, using the form in “Step 1. Notification”. The Subdirectorate will act as intermediary between the company and anyone showing interest in investing in order to find alternatives and business opportunities.

When the form is sent, the person completing the procedure will receive confirmation of receipt and a copy of the form. At this point the Administration will consider the procedure to have been completed.
