
The Catalan Plastics Center (CCP) is a public consortium R&D center, comprising the Generalitat de Catalunya, the UPC, Terrassa City Council and associations from the plastics industrial sector. Founded in 1996, the CCP is dedicated to R&D, technology transfer and technical training, standing out for its excellence and recognition at the national and international level. Its objective is to offer innovative solutions to companies in the plastics sector, promoting research and development.

Technological capabilities
The Catalan Plastics Center (CCP) offers the following services:
- R&D projects: Development of projects aimed at solving specific market problems, based on a technological pre-diagnosis. Projects are formalized with contracts that define the scope, financial terms and conditions, timeframes and deadlines, confidentiality and intellectual property.
- Technological services and advice: Advice for companies and public bodies, with services such as mechanical, thermal, rheological tests, design and failure analysis of parts, selection of materials and manufacturing processes.
- Education and training: Organization of technical conferences and personalized courses (theoretical-practical) tailored to different professional profiles. Also education for young university students to prepare them to join the labor market.
