Technological capabilities
The CEMIC is made up of 4 SGR Groups from the Department of Electronic and Biomedical Engineering of the UB, meeting the present and future needs of the productive fabric and increasing the innovation capacity of companies. The research includes:
- SIC: field of electronic systems design for measurement, instrumentation and information transmission.
- SIC-BIO: Micro/nanosystems engineering combining materials, technologies, structures, devices and algorithms to obtain new intelligent subsystems with high-density functionality: labs-on-chip, microrobots or biochips applied to biomedical environments.
- MIND: synthesis and characterization of nanostructured materials, the use and development of the engineering and technology tools necessary for the realization of micro and nanosystems and the implementation, analysis and characterization of sensors and materials and devices for applications in electrophotonics and nanoscopy.
- GRAF: The group focuses its research on the design, analysis and optimization of system components and modules for RF and RFIC applications.
