Business enterprise R&D nuclis, grants for industrial research and experimental development projects

The Circular economy R&D nuclis are grants aimed at companies established in Catalonia. Aspects such as the technological quality, the collaboration level with the R&D ecosystem or job creation, among others, are valued. The general requirements for applying for the grant are:

• The projects must be located in Catalonia and must be relate to the generation or management of waste and involve a clear technological.
• For cooperation projects, companies will have to participate with other local or international companies or with TECNIO accredited agents.
• Companies must have the capacity to develop R&D projects and must have been established at least two years ago. Your financial feasibility should be validated using the Financial self-assessment.

R&D nuclis are grants aimed at Catalan companies wishing to develop new products, processes or services of a high technological risk. Aspects such as the technological quality of the project, collaboration among companies or players of the R&D system or the generation of employment are valued, among others.

The Individual R&D nuclis constitute aid geared towards Catalan SMEs wishing to develop new products, processes and services with a high technological risk. Aspects such as the project’s technological quality, the generation of employment and intellectual and industrial property will be assessed.

The general requirements for applying for the aid are as follows:

• The beneficiaries of the aid must be small and medium-sized enterprises based in Catalonia.
• The projects for this line of R&D nuclis must be developed individually and the participation of projects in partnership with other companies or entities will not be permitted.
• The companies must have the technical capacity to carry out the R&D activity in Catalonia.
• The companies must be at least two years old. You are advised to validate your financial viability by means of the Financial self-assessment.
